Stronlossit Inn is well known locally and regionally for its superb choice of cask (real ales) in Lochaber and the whole of Inverness-shire – 3 are on tap daily and these are changed/rotated regularly.

All the real ales dispensed at Stronlossit Inn are sourced in Scotland, notably from Isle of Skye Brewery, Houstons, An Teallach, Atlas  Brewery, Cairnggorm Brewery, Orkney Brewery and Isle of Arran Brewery.

Remarkably, more real ale is dispensed at Stronlossit than all the popular ‘evergreens’ put together – Tennents Lager, Belhaven Best &c – proving how a successful real ale specialist can attract custom from far and wide.

Owner Maurice Vallely’s secret is his expertise, judgement and experience in the storage, conditioning and dispense of the ale.  His efforts are consistently recognised by CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale), The Good Beer Guide  – and more recently by Cask Marque. Stronlossit is the only bar in Lochaber, and one of only 3 in Inverness-shire, which are members of Cask Marque.

With character and atmosphere in abundance, a roaring log fire, delicious, ‘scrummy’ food, continental beers, real ales and, of course, over 80 single malt whiskies Stronlossit is a great place to meet for a ‘damned good beer’ - and the ideal venue for any party or group booking for a relaxed pub lunch, an evening meal or a special dining occasion.
